DeepMind 12 presets for electronic, cinematic and heavy production

This collection holds our program packs for Behringer DeepMind 12, DeepMind 12D and DeepMind 12XD (firmware 1.1 or newer). Every pack fills one complete bank with 128 programs, sorted into clear categories such as basses, leads, pads, arps, sequences, strings, brass, keys and FX, so you can find the right sound for a part without scrolling through a whole synth of guesswork. Each program has its own name and a short playing note in the README, and the mod wheel, aftertouch and velocity are set up to do something musical on every patch.

The packs are built around real production jobs rather than one generic bank: night-drive darksynth, synths that sit on top of down tuned guitars, grinding industrial sequences, big cinematic swells, the bright polysynth sound of the eighties, turning Berlin school sequences, hypnotic melodic techno, slow ambient drones, warm lo-fi keys and big arena rock brass. All ten are separate libraries with no shared programs.

Choose a DeepMind 12 pack by style

  • Darksynth and synthwave: Black Neon Drive brings driving basses, cutting leads, wide detuned pads and pulsing arps for night drives, neon and menace.
  • Modern metal and djent: Lowstring Static is made for bands and producers who layer synths with low-tuned guitars: wide pads, tight sequences, sub layers and leads that cut through without fighting the riffs.
  • Industrial, EBM and dark electro: Rust Protocol covers grinding basses, marching sequences, metallic stabs and hard percussion.
  • Cinematic and trailer music: Titan Reels holds braams and hits, slow swells, evolving drones, tense pulses and big impacts for trailers, film and game scores.
  • 80s pop and synthwave: Velvet Arcade is bright brass, glassy keys, warm chorus pads and singing leads in the spirit of the classic polysynth records.
  • Berlin school and kosmische: Stellar Loom is built around the step sequencer and arpeggiator: long turning sequences, deep round basses, slow filter sweeps and warm string pads.
  • Melodic techno and progressive house: Lucid Undertow brings rolling basses, hypnotic plucks and arps, wide stabs and big pads for the club.
  • Ambient, drones and textures: Glass Vespers holds slowly evolving pads, long drones, glassy keys and moving textures with long tails.
  • Lo-fi and chillwave: Warped Postcards is warm worn keys, dusty pads, soft leads and round basses for lo-fi, chillwave and bedroom pop.
  • Prog and arena rock: Electric Coliseum covers big poly brass, soaring leads, string pads and rock stabs for prog, arena rock and AOR.

A single pack or a bundle?

If you work in one style, a single pack keeps the choice focused and fills exactly one bank on your synth. Each series also comes as a bundle of five packs, 640 programs in five banks, at a lower price than buying them one by one: the DeepMind 12 Preset Collection Vol. 1 holds Black Neon Drive, Lowstring Static, Titan Reels, Rust Protocol and Velvet Arcade, and the DeepMind 12 Preset Collection Vol. 2 holds Stellar Loom, Lucid Undertow, Glass Vespers, Warped Postcards and Electric Coliseum.

Compatibility, loading and license

The packs are for Behringer DeepMind 12, DeepMind 12D and DeepMind 12XD (firmware 1.1 or newer). The DeepMind 6 is not supported: it uses a different SysEx format and has six voices, so these files do not load on it. Each pack contains one bank file with all 128 programs and every program as its own .syx file. Load them with the Preset Manager of the official editor app or any SysEx librarian on macOS or Windows; the README walks you through both, including how to back up your own programs first, because a bank file replaces the bank you load it into.

Products in this collection are digital downloads; no physical item is shipped. The standard Develop Device license allows the sounds to be used in personal and commercial music releases, monetized productions, live shows and client work. Redistribution or resale of the program files is not included. See the full license terms for the controlling wording.

DeepMind 12 preset FAQ

Which synths do the packs work on?
Behringer DeepMind 12, DeepMind 12D and DeepMind 12XD (firmware 1.1 or newer). The DeepMind 6 is not supported.

Do I need a keyboard with aftertouch?
No. Every program plays fine without it; with a mod wheel and aftertouch you get extra expression on top.

Will a pack overwrite my own sounds?
Only the bank you load it into. Back up your programs first; the README shows how. You can also load single programs into the slots you choose.

Can I use the sounds in commercial releases?
Yes. Commercial music use is allowed under the Develop Device terms; redistribution of the program files is not.

Do you also make presets for software synths?
Yes. Browse the Serum 2 presets, Vital presets and ArgWave 3 presets collections, or the whole Synth Presets & Wavetables range.
