Breakdown Engine: 1000 ArgWave 3 Presets & 1000 Wavetables is an expansion for ArgWave 3, built for modern metal, djent and metalcore. Chug synths that follow your palm mutes, bass that sits under seven and eight strings, leads that scream over a wall of guitars, and the drops, hits and risers that make a breakdown land.

1000 presets, 1000 wavetables of their own

Every preset has its own wavetable, made for that sound and nothing else: no recycled shapes, no plain saws and squares. Some come from our own guitar recordings, others from heavy synthesis, and each one moves as the note plays, so a held note keeps changing.

What is inside

• 120 chug and rhythm synths, many with their own built-in rhythmic gates
• 100 basses and 50 breakdown drops for the low end
• 90 distorted synths that sound like a high-gain rig without any amp
• 100 leads, from glassy taps to full screams
• 80 pads, 80 plucks and 80 sequences for intros, verses and ambient breaks
• 50 drones, 90 risers and FX, 70 hits and 60 cinematic braams
• 30 glitch sounds for stutters and transitions

Made to sit in a heavy mix

Every sound is level-matched, so you can flip through the browser without jumps in volume. The low end stays centred and solid, the highs stay smooth instead of fizzy, and every sound holds up when your mix is played in mono.

Eight macros that always do something

Each preset has the eight ArgWave 3 macros (DOOM, Damage, Motion, Growl, Space, Gate, Width, Low End) set up for that sound, and the mod wheel and aftertouch shape it too. Turn one knob to go from verse to breakdown.

Install in a minute

One file. Drop it on the ArgWave 3 window, use Install pack in the preset browser, or copy it into the Expansions folder. The 1000 sounds appear in the preset browser under the pack's own name, in every format at once. Projects keep their sound even on a computer without the pack.

Requirements

ArgWave 3 (version 3.0.1 or newer, a free update for ArgWave 3 owners) on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS 11 or newer (Intel and Apple Silicon), in any DAW that loads VST3 or AU, or the standalone app. This is an expansion: it needs ArgWave 3 to play.
