What is LIMITRON 2?
LIMITRON 2 is a mastering limiter, clipper and loudness maximizer. Choose Clip for density, Hybrid for clipping followed by limiting, or Limit for clean look-ahead peak control. Use it on a finished mix, a bus or a track that needs firm peak control.
What is new in LIMITRON 2?
Version 2 brings a new interface, clearer full-band and multiband controls, smooth Output History, persistent A/B comparison, and reworked peak protection, loudness measurement and parameter smoothing.

Does it work on Intel Macs?
Yes. The macOS installer includes both Intel and Apple Silicon versions of the VST3 and Audio Unit plugins in one universal package. macOS 11 or newer is required. The release has been tested on a physical Intel iMac and an Apple Silicon MacBook.
Which formats and systems are supported?
VST3 on Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit). VST3 and Audio Unit on macOS 11 or newer, on Intel and Apple Silicon. A compatible plugin host is required. There is no AAX version for Pro Tools and no standalone app.
How does multiband processing work?
Full Band treats the mix as one signal. Multiband separates it into low, mid and high bands at 120 Hz and 2.5 kHz, so a strong bass hit does not drive the whole engine in the same way. The Bands view shows gain reduction for each band. Switching the graph alone does not change the processing mode.
Can it set my streaming loudness?
Choose a working loudness target and run Analyze over a representative 15-second passage to adjust Threshold. Then measure the complete song and listen. The target is a starting point, not a guarantee of the final loudness or a streaming service's delivery requirements. Set Ceiling separately.
Will my version 1 projects open?
LIMITRON 2 keeps the original plugin identity and parameter IDs, and installs as an update. Existing projects can recall their settings. The rebuilt processing can change how those settings sound, so save your sessions and audition them after updating.
Does it need online activation?
No licence key or online activation is required. The macOS installer is signed and notarized by Apple. On Windows, the installer adds the WebView2 runtime if it is missing; that first-time runtime download needs internet access.
What is included?
The LIMITRON 2 Windows installer, a universal macOS installer for Intel and Apple Silicon, and the User Guide (PDF). One licence covers up to three of your own computers. LIMITRON 2 is included in the All Plugins Bundle, the All-Access Pass and the separately purchased Plugins & Apps Upgrade. Lifetime Access alone does not include plugins.
