ArgWave 3 presets for modern metal, industrial and hybrid metal production

This collection holds the expansion packs for ArgWave 3, our heavy wavetable synth. Each expansion adds 1,000 presets to the ArgWave 3 preset browser, and every one of those presets comes with its own wavetable, made for that sound and not shared with any other preset or with the factory library. That is 1,000 presets and 1,000 wavetables per pack, built for guitar-driven heavy music rather than generic EDM.

The sounds are organized around real arrangement jobs: basses and subs, chug and rhythm synths that lock to palm-muted riffs, leads, pads, plucks, sequences, drones, hits, braams, risers and transition FX. Every preset is level-matched, keeps its low end centred and holds up in mono, so you can audition a whole category without jumps in volume.

Choose an ArgWave 3 expansion by style

• Modern metal, djent and metalcore: Breakdown Engine is made for low-tuned riffs. It brings chug synths that follow your palm mutes, basses that sit under seven and eight strings, screaming leads, breakdown drops, hits and glitch transitions.
• Industrial and cyber-metal: Black Assembly covers machine basses, growls, grinding textures, distorted walls, cold pads, mechanical sequences, percussive synth hits and factory-floor FX.
• Hybrid metal and heavy electronic: Brimstone Circuits focuses on sub-heavy growls, screaming leads, choir and brass hybrids, braams and chugs that pump, with every sound running through the ArgWave 3 DOOM RACK.

A single expansion or the bundle?

The three packs are separate libraries with no shared presets or wavetables. If you need one production direction, a single expansion keeps the choice focused. The Metal Expansion Bundle contains all three packs, 3,000 presets and 3,000 wavetables, at a lower price than buying them one by one.

Requirements, install and license

These packs are expansions: they need ArgWave 3 version 3.0.1 or newer, on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS 11 or newer on Intel and Apple Silicon, in any DAW that loads VST3 or AU, or in the standalone app. To install, drop the pack file on the ArgWave 3 window or use Install pack in the preset browser. The sounds then appear under the pack's own name. Projects keep their sound even on a computer without the pack, because ArgWave 3 stores the wavetables a project uses inside the project.

Products in this collection are digital downloads; no physical item is shipped. The standard Develop Device license allows the presets to be used in personal and commercial music releases, monetized productions and rendered client work. Redistribution or resale of the preset and wavetable files is not included. See the full license terms for the controlling wording.

ArgWave 3 preset FAQ

Do I need ArgWave 3?
Yes. The packs play inside ArgWave 3 and do not load in other synths. Update to the latest ArgWave 3 version before installing a pack.

Does every pack contain 1,000 presets?
Yes. Each expansion contains 1,000 presets and 1,000 wavetables, one for each preset. The bundle contains all three packs.

Can I tweak the sounds?
Yes. Every preset is a normal ArgWave 3 patch, with macros, mod wheel and aftertouch already set up for quick changes.

Can I use the sounds in commercial releases?
Yes. Commercial music use is allowed under the Develop Device terms; redistribution of the source files is not.
