Glass Vespers: 128 DeepMind 12 Presets

Glass Vespers: 128 DeepMind 12 Presets fills one bank of your synth with 128 programs for Behringer DeepMind 12, DeepMind 12D and DeepMind 12XD (firmware 1.1 or newer). Slowly evolving pads, long drones, glassy keys and moving textures with long tails and mod wheel morphs, for ambient, drone and quiet scores.

The sound

Glass Vespers is made for the quiet end of the DeepMind. Pads that bloom slowly and keep changing while you hold them, drones that drift and breathe, glassy keys and soft plucks that ring into long reverb tails, gentle arps and slow sequences, and textures for the moments between the notes. Made for ambient, drone, sleep music and film textures.

How it plays

Hold one chord for a minute and move the mod wheel slowly: every program changes character with it. Play the keys and plucks sparsely and let the tails overlap. Two held notes a fifth apart on a drone are often a whole piece.

What is inside

128 programs in one bank: 30 pad, 26 drone, 14 keys, 14 fx, 10 strings, 10 pluck, 10 arp, 6 sequence, 4 lead, 4 bass. Every program has its own name and a playing note.

A few of the programs

• Drifting Dome (pad): A hard synced saw and square pair through a dark 2 pole filter. A gentle fade in. Finished with chorus, four tap delay and vintage ensemble chorus. Velocity sharpens the attack; mod wheel opens the filter and adds resonance.
• Arctic Abyss (drone): A saw over square through a warm 4 pole filter. Modulated delay into reverb, envelope filter and three tap delay on the output. Mod wheel opens the filter and speeds up the movement; aftertouch brings in filter movement.
• Sepia Diary (keys): A pair of hollow pulse tones through a warm 2 pole filter with plenty of envelope. An attack right on the beat. Finished with vintage ensemble chorus, phaser and plate reverb. Mod wheel opens the filter and adds resonance; aftertouch opens the filter.
• Open Riser (fx): A detuned unison hollow square through an open 4 pole filter. A slow bloom. Delay into reverb on the output. Mod wheel speeds up the movement and opens the filter; aftertouch opens the filter. Try different notes for different sizes.

Compatibility

For Behringer DeepMind 12, DeepMind 12D and DeepMind 12XD (firmware 1.1 or newer). The DeepMind 6 is not supported: it uses a different SysEx format and has 6 voices, so these files do not load on it. Load the bank with the official DeepMind editor app, SynthTribe or any SysEx librarian on macOS or Windows.
