AMPTHOLOGY: Amp Block Library for Fractal FM3 is a complete amp block library for the Fractal FM3, covering every amp model in the unit.
Your FM3 ships with 331 amp models. Most players use a dozen. AMPTHOLOGY is the rest of them - 993 amp blocks, three distinct voicings of every amp model, as .blk files you drag straight onto the Amp block of any preset you already have.
Each block is voiced across the whole amp block, not just gain and the tone stack. Supply sag, B+ time constant, negative feedback, speaker drive and breakup, transformer matching, dynamic presence and depth - the controls that decide whether an amp feels tight or spongy, fast or saggy. That is where the difference between an amp model and an amp that responds like the real thing lives, and it is where most preset packs stop.
The three voicings of each amp go after genuinely different uses of that amp rather than three shades of one sound. A Plexi is taken to classic crunch, hot-rodded and clean edge. A Recto to modern rhythm, sludge and tight metal. A clean amp to studio clean, pushed break-up and pedal platform.
Why it matters
- Audition any amp in the unit in seconds instead of dialling it up from flat defaults.
- Three ready voicings per amp, each aimed at a different job.
- Level-matched at -12.0 dB, so comparing amps is not decided by whichever one is louder.
- No cab or IR data included - your cab block, your IRs and your cab settings stay exactly as you set them, and nothing changes in your CPU budget.
- Nothing is overwritten: no preset slots used, nothing to reinstall after a firmware update.
