No. IIR-Alchemist X2 is version 2.0 and installs side by side with the previous IR-Alchemist X, so you can keep the earlier plugin available while using the new X2 release.
03 Which plugin formats and hosts are supported?
IIR-Alchemist X2 installs as AU and VST3 on macOS 10.13+, and as VST3 on Windows 10/11. Both platforms also get a standalone application that runs without a DAW. It is a universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and works with hosts such as Logic Pro, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One and Ableton Live.
04 How does the Lab Tone Match workflow work?
The Lab tab is designed for reference-based cabinet shaping. Load or capture a reference, analyze the tonal balance, then use Tone Match and related controls to move the current generated cabinet response toward the target while keeping control over the final amount and export.
05 What is included with IIR‑Alchemist X2?
You get the IIR-Alchemist X2 plug-in and standalone application for both macOS 10.13+ and Windows 10/11: AU and VST3 on macOS, VST3 on Windows, plus the standalone app on each.
