Before / after

The same MIDI, before and after a human touched it

Programmed guitar and bass lands on the grid at a constant velocity. ShredSync varies velocity and timing the way a player does — within the rules your sample library actually follows.

Straight off the grid

  • One constant velocity — accents, ghost notes and picking dynamics all read the same.
  • Every note dead on the beat, machine-tight, with no push or pull.
  • Double-tracks are identical copies, so quad-tracking has no width.
  • “Humanize” plug-ins scatter velocity blindly and re-trigger the wrong articulation.

Through ShredSync

  • Velocity varies inside each articulation’s band — never across it, so nothing re-triggers.
  • Timing drifts and settles like a real player: correlated wander, jitter and feel ahead of or behind the beat.
  • Accents are preserved and ghost notes stay quiet — the performance, not just noise.
  • Two independent takes for instant L/R quad-tracking, each fully reproducible from its seed.

From robotic to performed in six moves

Load, humanize, audition, export

The preview you hear is the file you export — the same engine drives both, so what you audition is exactly what lands in your DAW.

01

Load or watch

Drag & drop any .mid / .midi files — hand-programmed in your DAW, exported from Guitar Pro, or from any sequencer or sample pack — or set a watch folder on any directory so new files auto-enqueue.

02

Pick the library

Its velocity map sets the humanization bands. Offsets never cross a band boundary, so palm mutes, pinches and keyswitches never change articulation.

03

Simple or Advanced

One intensity fader, or open Advanced for velocity σ, accent preserve, correlated timing drift, jitter, feel and strum spread.

04

Preview and A/B

Watch ghost originals against the heat-coloured result on the piano roll, loop with a click, and A/B Original vs Humanized through the bundled soundfont.

05

Re-roll the seed

Seeded randomness means the same seed and preset always produce the same file. Re-roll until the take feels right, or set a per-file seed.

06

Process

Export humanized MIDI stamped “Humanized by ShredSync · seed · preset”, so double-processing is detected and every result is reproducible.

Built-in library atlas

Verified velocity maps for your guitar and bass libraries

Each map tells ShredSync exactly where a library's velocity bands and keyswitches sit, so humanization stays inside them. Pick a map, or build and save your own.

All product names are trademarks of their respective owners. ShredSync is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them — built-in maps are compatibility references that only tell ShredSync where each library’s velocity bands and keyswitches sit, so humanization stays inside them.

01

Articulation-aware, never destructive

Humanization stays inside each library's velocity bands, so a palm mute never becomes an open note and a keyswitch never drifts onto the wrong articulation. Keyswitch ranges are never touched.

02

Simple and Advanced in one

Start with a single intensity fader; open Advanced for velocity σ, accent preserve, correlated timing drift, jitter, feel (ahead or behind the beat) and strum spread.

03

Hear it before you commit

A live piano roll shows ghost originals against the result, with loop, metronome, playback speed, per-track mute and A/B audition of Original vs Humanized through a bundled soundfont.

04

Protected regions

Paint bypass ranges straight onto the roll to leave solos, tapped sections or already-perfect parts exactly as written.

05

Steal a groove

Extract the groove from any MIDI file and apply its feel to your programmed part.

06

Deterministic and provenanced

Seeded randomness makes every render reproducible; outputs carry a “Humanized by ShredSync · seed · preset” stamp so double-processing is caught automatically.

07

Batch, presets and history

Queue whole folders, save your favourite feels as presets from the header bar, keep a processing history, and open .mid / .midi straight into ShredSync.

08

100% local

No account, no sign-in, no telemetry. Your files never leave your machine.

Two ways to drive it

Simple when you want one knob, Advanced when you want them all

Start with a single intensity fader, or open the Advanced panel for full control over velocity, timing and strum. Same engine, your choice of depth.

ShredSync Simple mode — large Intensity fader set to a loose live-room feel
Simple mode: one Intensity fader from tight to loose. The readout names the feel — here, a loose live-room performance.
ShredSync Advanced panel — Velocity, Phrase and Accent Keep knobs with Drift, Jitter, Feel, Strum and Release controls
Advanced mode: Velocity σ, Phrase and Accent Keep, plus Drift, Jitter, Feel, Strum and Release — shape the performance exactly.
